Artist’s Statement:
Nature moves me. My goal in painting is for you see
the world around you anew and to awaken to its commonplace elegance
and fleeting beauty. Light, shadow, surface, atmosphere, hue, tone,
and temperature all mix in an instant to capture my spirit. If I
can begin to move you through my attempt to harness those same elements
I will be humbled and delighted. The physical world is a marvel
and life as we know it is utterly dependant upon it. Painting for
me is the process of rendering the precious moments of every day.
It is about the human spirit in the seasons of life.
